Amidst civil war and political repression, one women's organization dares to resist. While leftist groups are outlawed, PEOPEF becomes the voice and shield of mothers, wives, and sisters fighting to save their loved ones from prisons, exile, and execution. National liberation, British intervention, December uprising, Civil War. The left-wing organizations -KKE, EAM, EPON- have been banned. The only organization that operates openly is PEOPEF, through which the mothers, wives, and sisters of the imprisoned, exiled and those fighters facing the firing squads, battle for the salvation of their loved ones.
