"Pepedrilo" portrays José's, also known as "Pepe" or "Little Crocodiles", unique connection with nature through his care of a crocodile sanctuary in Manzanilla, Mexico. The sanctuary, established in 1995 by a group of landowners, has become a nature reserve, providing shelter for crocodiles in need of protection and care. The film documents Pepe's daily life, his dedication to crocodile conservation, research, and ecotourism, as well as his love for these animals. At the same time, it highlights the threats faced by the sanctuary from human activity, such as water pollution from chemicals and waste. The documentary emphasizes the importance of respecting and protecting wildlife and ecosystems.
