The 11th Peloponnisos International Documentary Film Festival, in collaboration with the Experimental High School of Kalamata (Peiramatiko Gymnasio), is hosting a unique three-day Stop-Motion Animation workshop led by the distinguished Italian director Thomas Kunstler.

Workshop Description
During the three-day workshop, led by artist Thomas Kunstler, participants will become familiar with the stop-motion technique. They will design, sculpt, and bring to life their own plasticine figures to create a short sci-fi animation. The process will cover idea conception, sculpting, frame-by-frame photography, and editing, transforming simple clay into cinematic heroes.
Thomas Kunstler
Thomas Kunstler (Rome, 1991) is an Italian film director who currently lives and works in Athens, Greece. He studied Film Production at the University for the Creative Arts (Farnham, UK).
His work often draws inspiration from Greek music and culture. His recent stop-motion short film, "Pink Mountain," was nominated for the Best Short Animation Award at the Hellenic Film Academy Awards and has travelled to more than 80 film festivals, earning several accolades.
As a Berlinale Talents Alumni and experienced educator, Thomas Kunstler regularly holds animation workshops in collaboration with various festivals both in Greece and internationally, sharing his expertise with passion and creativity.
