The "Sketch Cities" comics exhibition has opened its doors at the Kalamata Cultural Center, setting the stage for the celebratory atmosphere of the 10th Peloponnisos International Documentary Festival. From November 18 to December 5, 13 acclaimed Greek comic artists invite us to explore the "Cities of the World" through their creative perspectives.
One Theme, Many Stories
This year’s exhibition centers on cities—those we live in, were born in, cherish, or dream of. The artists’ works, ranging from depictions of everyday urban life to fantastical cityscapes, blend storytelling with visual artistry, capturing emotions, nostalgia, and aspirations. Exhibition curator Giannis Antonopoulos noted that comics are a unique medium for portraying cities, showcasing them as living, breathing entities that inspire and challenge us.

The exhibition features 13 distinguished creators, including:
John Antono, Dimitris Georgopalis, Panos Zacharis, Petros Zervos, Sakis Koutsantas, Panagiotis Milas, Panagiotis Mitsobonos, Vasilis Papageorgiou, Konstantinos Rouggeris, Soloup, Ilias Tampakeas, Maria Tzampoura, and Vangelis Cherouveim.
