During the festival, there will be a few open-air concerts by the band Navayo Quintet and lives on several places around town. Navayo Quintet is a multicultural band and shares with energy and passion the popular musical treasures of the Mediterranean ... from Bulgaria to Egypt through Turkey, Greece and Italy !! In search of an authentic atmosphere, the quintet offers a repertoire based on dance and light or melancholy songs.

On 8th April at 21:00 the opening ceremony of the 8th Peloponnisos International Doc Film Festival with the screening of the out-of-competition documentary "My grandfather, Papaflessas" by Cleoni Flessa. The documentary was produced by The Prefecture of Peloponnese and was executive produced by the Creative Documentary Center of Kalamata. At the ceremony, we will have the director and the animator Babis Alexiadis present along with representatives of the Prefecture.

Next stop is the Kalamata Railway Park, with the film "Notias" that will close the 7th Peloponnisos International Documentary Festival.

With the screening of two special short student documentaries, Peloponnisos International Documentary Film Festival launches its cooperation with the EKOME (National Centre of Audiovisual Media and Communication), on Friday, June 18, during the opening ceremony event of the 7th Peloponnisos International Doc Film Festival in Kalamata.
