“Stathmos Cinema”, by FIX Hellas

 

Next stop is the Kalamata Railway Park, with the film "Notias" that will close the 7th Peloponnisos International Documentary Festival.

The 3rd stop for "Stathmos Cinema" will be the city of Kalamata, which along with the cities of Patras and Tripoli will transform, for one and only night, into a summer cinema, with the screening of award-winning, modern Greek cinema films.

After Piraeus and Missolonghi , the film "Notias" by Tassos Boulmetis will be screened on Sunday 4th of July, at 21:00 in the Railway Park, while the old OSE trains will serve as a unique background. This action will be the closing ceremony of the 7th Peloponnisos International Documentary Festival and Tassos Boulmetis will present the awards of the Festival!

"Notias" is a story set against the backdrop of Greece, during the turbulent times of the '60s, '70s and '80s.The film stars: Yannis Niarros, Themis Panou, Maria Kallimani, Taxiarhis Hanos, Melissanthi Mahut, Chara Mata Giannatou, and Zozo Sapountzaki in a surprise role.

The music of the film is composed by Evanthia Reboutsika.

Supporters of the action "Stathmos Cinema" are Olympic Brewery and the beloved Greek beer FIX Hellas. The project is being held under the auspices of the Commission "Greece 2021", and the selection of these cities was based on their leading role in the historical event of the 1821 Greek War of Independence.
